Solomun Remixes Trance Classic 'The Age Of Love'

His take on the 1990 tune launches a new series on Renaissance called The ReMix Collection.

Solomun has remixed Age Of Love's classic trance tune "The Age Of Love" for Renaissance.

First released in 1990, "The Age Of Love" was one of the early rave scene's biggest records. Renaissance says the track is one that helped shape the sound of its early years, and this Solomun rework, already being played out, helps the label celebrate its 25th anniversary. It's also the first release on Renaissance's new series The ReMix Collection, which aims to give new life to classic tunes from the past two and a half decades.

The remix gets a digital release on July 21st. A vinyl version, backed with the Jam & Spoon Watch Out For Stella Mix from 1992, is expected in late August.

"'The Age Of Love' is one of the very few tracks from that era that I actually play occasionally in my sets," Solomun says. "So it was already a timeless piece of music for me. That's why I said yes to the remix."
